Look Keo Blade 12

Look invented the clipless road pedal, and the Keo Blade is the clearest expression of what they learned. Instead of a coil spring, retention comes from a carbon leaf spring — the blade — which snaps the cleat in decisively and releases with a cleaner, more predictable feel than a spring-loaded pedal. It is also lighter and lower stack, which puts your foot marginally closer to the axle.

The 12 refers to the blade tension. It is firm: this is a pedal for riders who sprint, race, or simply do not want any doubt about whether they are attached. If you are new to clipless pedals, start softer and work up.
