Shimano SM-SH11 SPD SL Cleat Set - 6° Float Yellow

The yellow cleat is the one that ships with most Shimano SPD-SL pedals, and for good reason — 6 degrees of float gives your foot room to find its own natural angle rather than forcing it into a fixed position. If you are new to clipless pedals, or you have ever had knee pain riding, this is where to start.

That freedom does mean a slightly less locked-in feel than the blue or red cleats. Most riders never notice; sprinters and racers sometimes prefer something firmer. If your knees are happy on yellow, there is no reason to change.
